Trevor Worthy is a vertebrate palaeontologist working at University of Adelaide, in the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences. He received a PhD from the University of Adelaide, Adelaide, Australia and a DSc from The University of Waikato, Hamilton, New Zealand.
His research interest is in vertebrate faunas of Australia, the Pacific, and New Zealand, in particular the taxonomy and phylogenetic relationships of birds and their Tertiary and Quaternary evolutionary history, and how faunal composition responded to changes in climate and vegetation patterns over time.
